Sedation Options

Oral Sedation. This option involves taking pills to make you feel relaxed. We will schedule time in office for the medication to be administered and take effect.• Oral Sedation. Make sure that you have someone who can drive you to and from our dental office, as the effect of the sedative can be deep and long-lasting. It can last for 24 hours, and during this time you shouldn’t drive at all.

IV Sedation. This type of sedation puts you in a sleep-like state. But it’s not like general anesthesia because it doesn’t make you unconscious. You will still breathe on your own, and you’ll still be able to perform various protective reflex actions such as coughing.
